Status: offline 		If Funimation Plans on ever continuing any of the Tenchi series?
If it was up to me, id say they could have continued all three series ^_^

I never saw the 3rd OVA series though.
But i really want too!!!

Tenchi Universe ended with Ryoko coming back saying that everyone else would come back.

And then in Tenchi In Tokyo, Yugi was just left to sleep who is also going to be Sakuya when she grows up and then join the house most likely.

Maaaan, i have no interest in GXP though :/
Any thoughts?

Status: online 		Sorry to tell you but Funimation has no say in if anything else animated in the Tenchi Muyo franchise getting made or released. If you want more of Tenchi Universe though, I'd strongly suggest you get hold of the three movies since for the most part they're all tied to the Universe continuity. Daughter of Darkness (the 2nd movie) is up for debate though over some details that I can't quite recall at the time.

I don't know the details about that stuff. I just know that Funi has no say in getting more episodes of any of those series made.

but i think they should continue some..
Kinda like they did for the OVA series.
I read that they made the 3rd OVA to tenchi muyo in like 2007 or something like that.
I wonder why they waited so long...

Geneon Japan holds the cards in Japan and Geneon USA holds the licenses for the U.S..  So yeah, they have a say.

Movie 1 & 3 are part of Tenchi Universe.  The 2nd movie I believe is an adaptation of the 10th Tenchi novel by Hasegawa-sensei.

Status: online 		Ah yeah, I've always heard that the 2nd movie had things about it that did not make it fit exactly into any of the other animated continuities. As much as I consider myself a Tenchi fan I've yet to see everything, which would include the 2nd and 3rd movies.

And i did find this one pack called "the perfect collection"
It had all movies, all series (in tokyo, universe, Muyo "OVAS", and GXP Pretyy sammy) and everything.
Too bad the best deal i could find was on Amazon for it and it was 99$.
I love tenchi but..
I got other stuff to spend 100$ on cause of this **** economy :/
But i want it XD

Status: offline 		I read somewhere that somebody wanted to know at what age did Tenchi mother dies at? the answer is she died at the age of 248, from old age. but didn't look it.

Status: offline 		@Chibi: I know this has already been said, but neither funi or Pionner (GENON) say weather a series continue or is expanded upon, its the Creators in Japan that do that & the 1st & 3rd tenchi movies are indeed part of universe continuity, & even though not confirmed, its said that Tenchi ends up with ryoko in Universe continuity.

As for tokyo yes it does indeed need to be expanded upon!

(Also I personally would love to see a tenchi spin-off staring kiyoshi & Mihoyne set in either universe or Tokyo.)

But yea its up to the creator & i hate to say it I doubt we will see more of either unless alot of fans around the world ask for it!

Status: offline 		The success of the latest Tenchi spinoff (showArrow("9/25/2009 4:28:51 AM",147350,21,false)Isekai no Seikishi Monogatari) likely would play a part in there being additional Tenchi titles made.  My guess is that the market in Japan is still pretty strong for Tenchi titles based on everything I've seen.
