Status: offline 		I know we have had many threads about it but this is just something to let people know. I sent an email to FUNimation from the email address shown on the site about the DBZ special. It turns out FUNimation doesn't know that they made an OVA about it so I sent another email explaining that they did which I hope they do reply.

What I'm asking is for everyone who would like to see an english release of the movie is to send an email to FUNimation and asking about it and explaining that there is an OVA about it. If we all do this we might see some progress ..... hopefully!

Status: offline 		It's not a movie, it's video game footage for a dated console... I doubt FUNimation could ever aquire it. It would be neat, but it will likely never happen.

It's more than Video Game Footage...It's a Full Animated Visual Guide. It's not really much different from a Movie or Special.

Status: offline 		... A guide to a video game for a twenty year old console that never even made it over here. If they haven't got the footage by now, then chance is they're not going to.

VIZ couldn't even acquire the rights for a new Naruto video game OVA. You think FUNimation is going to be able to(or even care to) acquire the rights to a 10+ year old video game OVA that never made it over here from Toei ? It's not gonna happen.

Status: offline 		Actually the 2 part OVA was released on VHS in Japan in august 6, 1993 and on DVD in Japan as part of the "Dragon Box" DVD set in 2003. It can't be that hard to get it.

I meant the special, not the DVD box. Can't be hard for funimation to get it in if they released it on DVD in Japan.

Besides as the game was only released in japan as well as the dvd and vhs version

Production on the fan dub is....well....halted unfortunately.  I'm starting to think I should just score the whole thing regardless of how the timing might change.
